1 Folder window:
Displays the contents of the PC's hard disk drive in the directory tree
format.
2 Menu bar:

] button:
Click on this button to move to the level directly above the level
displayed in the list window.
[SELECT ALL] button:
Click on this button to select all the files and folders displayed in the
list window.
[VIEW] button:
Click on this button to switch the display format the list window.
[EXPLORER] button:
Click on this button to open the Windows Explorer window showing
the list of folders that can be displayed in the list window.
The display format of the Explorer window depends on the setup
made for the OS.
4 List window:
Displays the contents of the folder selected in the folder window.
÷ The list window is used to display the contents (folders and
files that can be imported using this software).
5 [MOVIE] tag:
Selects the [MOVIE LIBRARY].
[MUSIC] tag:
Selects the [MUSIC LIBRARY].
[PHOTO] tag:
Selects the [PHOTO LIBRARY].
6 Library box:
Displays the genre boxes and album boxes in the selected library in
the directory tree format.
7 Library list window:
Displays the contents already imported in the selected library.
8 [IMPORT] button:
Click on this button to import the contents selected in the list window
into the library.
DELETE
button:

Click on this button to delete the files selected in the library list
window.
DELETE ALL
button:
[
]
Click on this button to clear all of the contents displayed in the library
list window.
[5] [∞] buttons:
Click on either button to move a file to change the order of
playback of files. (Used only when the [MUSIC LIBRARY] or
[PHOTO LIBRARY] is selected.)

[BGM] button:
Click on this button to link music with playback of a photo image.
(Used only when the [PHOTO LIBRARY] is selected.)
[SAVE] button:
Click on this button to save the library list window data and let this
unit recognize the contents of the corresponding library.
IMPORTANT: Before closing the KENWOOD PC SERVER soft-
ware, be sure to save the changes you made otherwise they
will be lost.

Operations using the menu bar

When one of the menu names is selected, a pull-down menu is displayed
as described below.
When [File] is selected:
1 [Name Setting]
The default server name is [PC Server 1]. The server name can be
changed as desired.
2 [Movie Folder Setting]

[Music Folder Setting]
[Photo Folder Setting]
Specify the pathnames of the desired folders (up to three folders can
be set per library). The files stored in the specified folders will be
imported as "Temporary" files.
If you specify the folder for saving the recorded TV programs or that
used usually as a library, its contents can be imported automatically
into the server.
[Browse...]: Click on the [Browse] button to select the desired folder
by following the directory.
After completing the folder setting, click on the [OK] button.
When MOVIE files are imported as "Temporary":
Only the contents in the highest layer below the specified folders are
imported as "Temporary". (The files located immediately after the
imported folders can be played back.)
