Power switch assembly
Description
Power switch assembly (includes power switch board cable and actuator switch)
Before removing the power switch assembly, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power cord.

Remove the battery (see

Remove the following components:

Hard drive (see

Keyboard (see
d.
Switch cover (see

Display assembly (see

Top cover (see
Remove the power switch assembly:
1.
Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×4.0 screws (1) that secure the power switch board to the base
enclosure.
2.
Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screw (2) that secures the display release hook assembly to the
base enclosure.
