    Before Use Software Upgrade Before initial use of the TMC unit, insert the upgrade disc (supplied with CY-TM100N) into the unit to upgrade the navigation software. ■Software upgrade ● Be sure to upgrade the navigation software before using the TMC unit.
  • Page 19 After software upgrade is completed, eject upgrade disc and insert map disc (DVD-SDAL-formatted map disc (TMC-Ready)). Take out the upgrade disc. Insert the map disc (“TMC-Ready”). Please verify the software version to check if upgrade successfully completes. It is successful if the software version (date) of your unit is the same as below or newer.     GPS is a position detecting system utilizing the signals from GPS satellites deployed by the U.S. Department of Defense. The Mobile Navigation System uses input from three or more satellites and calculates the vehicle position based on the principle of triangulation. The positioning accuracy of the system corresponds to the error display of the GPS which is from about 30 to 200 meters.
