    2. Preparing your phone for use • Attach the battery Fit the top of the battery gently into the space beneath the antenna. Then press down on the bottom of the battery until it clicks. • Remove the battery Note: Switch the phone off before removing the battery! 1 Press down on the small battery lock on the bottom of the phone.

    Preparing your phone for use • Switch the phone on (or off) • Press and hold for more than a second. Warning! Do not switch on the phone when wireless phone use is prohibited or when it may cause interference or danger.

    3. About your phone • Icons and indicators You have an active call. The phone is waiting for you to enter a response. The current profile you have selected for your phone is Silent. Keyguard has been activated to help prevent any accidental keypresses.

Adjusting the earpiece volume You can adjust the earpiece volume while in a call (or at any time) by pressing the top volume key on the upper left side of the phone to increase the volume, or pressing the lower volume key to decrease the volume.

    6. Entering letters and numbers You can enter letters, as well as numbers, when storing information into your phone by using your phone’s keypad. To enter letters, press the key associated with the letter you wish to enter until it appears on the screen (numbers also appear).

Note: Restore factory settings (see page 50) resets any changes made in Profiles back to the factory defaults.
