...notes on teletext dual page feature
At Hitachi we are committed to the constant development of our televisions capabilities. One of
the features developed for the benefit of you, the customer, is the expansion of the Teletext service
from a one page screen display to a feature that can be manipulated in a number of ways.
The instructions below show how to take advantage of this excellent feature whatever your viewing
option 1
standard teletext
Standard teletext can be entered by pressing the teletext
button on your handset
entered before any of the dual page
options can be used.
option 2
dual teletext page operation
This option splits the viewable screen area in half so that
two teletext pages can be viewed together - although only
one page can be changed at a time. This is achieved by
pressing the 16:9 button on your handset once. Pressing the
OK button on your handset places the right hand screen on
the left side and 'freezes' the page. When a new page
number is entered, the right hand
side will change while the left will remain the same.
Pressing the 'X' button on your handset will erase the left
option 3
teletext page and TV viewing
An advance on the previous 'mixing' facility where a
transparent page overlaps the program on view, this option
splits the screen in half. Press the 16:9 button
twice on your handset (from option 1) to use this feature.
This option has the same function as the standard teletext
page (see option 1) but with the capacity to also view
the program being watched before Teletext was entered.
To return to normal TV operation press the television button on your handset.
