Then enter the correct number or character. Inserting a pause With some telephone systems, you must dial an access code (9, for example) and listen for a second dial tone. In such cases, you must insert a pause in the telephone number.

    If you are using Windows Internet Explorer, the Dell AnyWeb Print too will save your time for screen-captured images or printing the image. Click Start > All programs > Dell Printers > Dell AnyWeb Print > Download the latest version to link the website where the tool is available for the download.

    Select your machine from the Select Printer. Click Properties or Preferences. Using a Presets setting The Presets option, which is visible on each preferences tab except for Dell tab, allows you to save the current preferences settings for future use.     Poster 3x3: Document will be enlarged and be divided into 9 pages. Poster 4x4: Document will be enlarged and be divided into 16 pages. Select the Poster Overlap value. Specify Poster Overlap in millimeters or inches by selecting the radio button on the upper right of Basic tab to make it easier to paste the sheets together.

    Click OK or Print until you exit the Print window. If your machine does not have a duplex unit, you should complete the printing job manually. The machine prints every alternate page of the document first. After that, an instruction message appears on your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the printing job.

    From the Advanced tab, select Edit from the Watermark drop-down list. The Edit Watermarks window appears. Enter a text message in the Watermark Message box. You can enter up to 256 characters. The message displays in the preview window. When the First Page Only box is checked, the watermark prints on the first page only. Select watermark options.

    Printing a document When you print with a Macintosh, you need to check the printer driver setting in each application you use. Follow the steps below to print from a Macintosh: Open the document you want to print. Open the File menu and click Page Setup. Choose your paper size, orientation, scaling, other options, and make sure that your machine is selected.

    You cannot adjust the copy size using Reduce/Enlarge for the N-Up feature. Poster copying Your original will be divided into 9 portions.     Scanning originals and sending to your computer (Scan to PC) You can scan an image on the machine via the Dell Scan and Fax Manager program that is installed in your networked computer. For USB connected machine This is a basic scanning method for USB connected machine.

    Using Dell Scan and Fax Manager If you have installed the printer driver, the Dell Scan and Fax Manager program is installed too. Start Dell Scan and Fax Manager program to find out about this program information and the installed scan driver's condition.     You can also scan using TWAIN-compliant softwares, such as Adobe Photoshop. Scanning using network can be performed via only TWAIN UI.     If you are in Tel mode when the answering machine is connected to your machine, you must switch off the answering machine. otherwise, the outgoing message from the answering machine will interrupt your phone conversation. Receiving faxes manually using an extension telephone This feature works best when you are using an extension telephone connected to the EXT socket on the back of your machine.

    You can activate secure receiving mode without setting a password, but cannot protect your faxes. Re-enter the password to confirm it and press OK. Press Stop/Clear ( ) to return to ready mode. When a fax is received in secure receiving mode, your machine stores it in memory and shows Secure Receive to let you know that there is a fax received.

    While cleaning the inside of the machine, be careful not to damage the transfer roller or any other inside parts. Do not use solvents such as benzene or thinner to clean. Printing quality problems can occur and cause damage to the machine. Locate the long strip of glass (LSU) inside the top of the cartridge compartment and gently clean the glass with a swab.

    Use of non-Dell and refilled toner cartridge Dell does not recommend or approve the use of non-Dell brand toner cartridges in your printer including generic, store brand, refilled, or remanufactured toner cartridges. Dell’s printer warranty does not cover damage to the machine caused by the use of a refilled, remanufactured, or non-Dell brand toner cartridge.
