be damaged or the camcorder may not operate correctly. To prevent possible damage under these
circumstances, the camcorder is furnished with morsture sensor. However. take the following precautions.
Inside the Camcorder
When the @ and & indicators tlash in the viewfinder, moisture has condensed inside the camcorder. If this
happens. none of the tunctions except cassetie ejection wilt work.
Eject the tape, turn off the camcorder, and leave it with the cassette compartment open fer about 1
hour.
It the @ indicator does not light up when you turn on the power, you can use the camcorder again.

Before starting inser editing. set your VCR to the playback pause mode at the beginning of the scene to be
recorded. (1) On your camcorder. locate the point where the insert shoud end by pressing <@<@ or Bt after
pressing playback {b]. (2) At the end point. press COUNTER RESET to set the counter to zero. (3) Locate the
point where you want to start the insertian by pressing ~#@ and press W to pause [a]. (4) Slide @ to set the
camcorder into recording pause made. The picture in the viewfinder screen switches to the VCR tape. (5)

Press ZERO MEM to stop recording at the counter's zero point. (6) Press If on the camcorder and the VCR to

How to Prevent Moisture Condensation
When bringing the camcorder from a cold place to a warm piace, put the camcorder in a plastic bag and allaw
it to adapt to room conditions over a period of time.
{1} Be sure to tightly seai the plastic bag containing the camcorder.
(2) Remove the bag when the air temperature inside it has reached the temperature surrounding it (after
about 1 hour).
