Installing the camera base

The camera base is used to fix the camera to the mounting plate for easy three-step
installation. All wired connections are established through the camera base before installing
the camera.

Mark the positions of the screw holes on the surface.
Note: For standard installation, use the mounting holes marked with a B on the
mounting plate. For a different installation, for example for an installation on a
surveillance cabinet, use different mounting holes. For more information, refer to
Surveillance cabinet (fiber optics) installation, page 27.
Drill the 4 holes with the appropriate diameter drill to support your 5-6 mm (0.2 inch)
screws.
Attach the mounting plate to the surface with 4 screws. Tighten the screws between 4
and 7 Nm (3 and 5.2 lbfft).
Remove the device from its packaging.
Separate the camera module from the camera base.
If necessary, remove the network cable connected to the camera base and pull it
through the selected installation surface.
Connect the network cable through the camera base hole.
Place the camera base on top of the mounting plate with the camera base hole facing
down.
