Getting to know your headset

  2. Detachable ultra flexible unidirectional microphone boom
    Storable and adjustable unidirectional microphone for two-way communication.
  3. In-line omnidirectional microphone
    Omnidirectional in-line microphone for two-way communication.
  4. Microphone mute switch
    Allows you to put the microphone on mute mode.
  5. In-line volume control
    Allows you to increase/decrease the in-line volume.
  6. Extended Y-cable (splitter cable)
    Allows you to connect to the microphone and headphone ports of your computer.

Using your headset

warning NOTE: There are L and R markings on the ear cups.

Connecting to smart devices

  • Connect your headset's analog connector into your smart device such as mobile phone or tablet PC.
  • Use the in-line controllers to increase/decrease the volume or mute the microphone.

Connecting to PC or MAC

  1. Connect your headset's analog connector into the bundled Y-cable.
  2. Connect the Y-cable's headphone connector to your computer's headphone port.
    Connect the Y-cable's microphone connector to your computer's microphone port.
  3. You can connect the bundled microphone boom to your headset.
    warning NOTE: The in-line microphone is disabled when the microphone boom is connected.

Safety and Maintenance

Safety Guidelines

  • If your device does not work properly and troubleshooting does not work, unplug the device and contact the ASUS Service Center for assistance. DO NOT attempt to service or fix the device yourself.
  • DO NOT disassemble the device as doing so will void its warranty.
  • Protect the cables from being stepped on or compressed, particularly at the point where it exits from the device.
  • Keep the device away from liquid, humidity or moisture. Operate the device only whthin the specific temperature range of 0oC (32 oF) to 40oC (104 oF). Should the temperature exceed this range, unplug and/or switch off the device in order to let the temperature stabilize to an optimal level.

Maintenance

The Cerberus gaming headset requires minimum maintenance to keep it in optimum condition. We recommend that you clean it once a month using a soft cloth or cotton swab with a bit of warm water. DO NOT use soap or harsh cleaning agents.
