Steps
1. Align the notch on the M.2 2280 solid-state drive with the tab on the M.2 card connector on the system board.
2. Slide the M.2 2280 solid-state drive into the M.2 card connector on the system board.
NOTE:
A thermal pad sticker is adhered to the system board underneath the M.2280 solid-state drive. If in the process
of replacing the M.2280 solid-state drive, the thermal pad is separated from the plate or gets adhered to the M.2
2280 solid-state drive, technicians must readhere the thermal pad to the system board before reinstalling the M.2 2280
solid-state drive to the system.
3. Align the screw hole on the M.2 2280 solid-state drive with the screw hole on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4. Replace the screw (M2x2) to secure the M.2 2280 solid-state drive thermal plate to the system board.
5. Close the M.2 2280 solid-state drive mylar sheet to cover the M.2 2280 solid-state drive.
NOTE:
There is a protective mylar sheet covering the M.2 2280 solid-state drive. This mylar sheet must be closed after
the installation procedure.
