POLARIZED PLUG (120V Models Only)
shock hazard This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

ELECTRICAL CORD
The cord of this appliance was selected to reduce the possibility of tangling in or tripping over a longer cord. If more length is needed, use an extension cord rated no less than 15 amperes. (For 220 volts rated products, use an extension cord rated no less than 6 amperes.) When using an extension cord, do not let it drape over the working area or dangle where someone could accidentally trip over it. Handle cord carefully for longer life; avoid jerking or straining it at outlet and appliance connections.

This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.

Note: If the power supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified personnel or in Latin America by an authorized service center.

How to Use

This appliance is for household use only.


Make sure the knife is unplugged and the safety lock is in the "Lock" position before inserting or removing blades. When in the "Lock" position, the operating bar cannot be pressed inward even when the knife is plugged in (A).
How to Use - Safety Lock

  1. Before first use, wash the blades in sudsy water or in the dishwasher. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Slip the rivet at the tip of one blade into the keyhole slot on the other.
  2. Make sure the knife is unplugged when inserting or removing blades and the safety lock is in the "Lock" position (see A).
  3. With the knife still unplugged and the cutting (serrated) edge facing down away from you, grip the blades by the non-slip tabs and insert the two ends of the blades into the slots of the handle until they "click" into place.

  4. Release the safety lock by pushing the button to the opposite side of the operating bar marked "Unlock".

    Press the operating bar and guide the knife blades down through the food. Do not "saw" the food. The blades are designed to slide back and forth for cutting; let them do the work for you. Use a carving fork to hold the food, if necessary.


Never place your hand close to or over the blade to support it while operating this knife.

To Remove Blade:

  1. Make sure the safety lock is in the "Lock" position and unplug the knife (see A).
  2. Press the blade release buttons on both sides of the handle. Grasp the blades by the nonslip tabs and pull away from the handle.

Care and Cleaning

This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel.

  1. Before cleaning any part of the electric knife, push the safety lock to "Lock" (see A), unplug the cord, and remove the blades.
