To store a number to be dialed via Private Branch Exchange (PBX)
Before entering a phone number in Step 4, do as follows:

Enter the outside line access digit (e.g., 9).

Press (REDIAL/PAUSE).
To change a stored number
Store a new number, as described previously.
Making calls with speed dialing

Press (TALK) and wait until the TALK/BATT LOW lamp lights up.

Press (SPEED DIAL).
3
Enter the desired speed dialing number ((0) to (9)).
The phone number stored in the speed dialing number will be dialed.
Paging
You can page the handset from the base unit. Note that you can't page if the
handset is in use.
Note
You can't page the handset when its RING ON/BATT SAVE is set to BATT SAVE.

Maintenance

On handling
• Do not attempt to disassemble the casing. Refer servicing to qualified
personnel only.
• Do not put foreign objects into the base unit. Should any liquid or solid object
fall into the base unit, unplug the unit and have it checked by qualified
personnel before operating the unit any further.
• Do not put anything in the DC IN 9V (external power input) jack.
• Do not drop the unit as a malfunction may result.
On cleaning
• Clean the cabinets with a soft cloth slightly moistened with water or a mild
detergent solution. Do not use any type of abrasive pad, scouring powder or
solvent such as alcohol or benzine as they may damage the finish of the
cabinet.
• If the charge terminals of the base unit and handset are soiled, wipe them with
a soft cloth or paper.

your nearest Sony dealer.

Mounting the base unit on a wall

Reverse the hang-up tab.

Plug the telephone line cord to the LINE jack and the AC power
adaptor to the DC IN 9V jack, and hook the cords.

Attach the wall bracket to the center of the base unit. Align the ¢
marks of the wall bracket with those of the base unit.

Attach the supplied screws to the wall.

Hook the base unit to the screws.

Plug the telephone line cord to the telephone outlet, and the AC
power adaptor to an AC outlet. Then raise the antenna so that it
points towards the ceiling.

To determine the positions for the screws, cut out the template below and use it
as a guide. Consider the weight of the phone when you choose the place to hang
it.
