This will enable Hitachi to notify you promptly in the improbable event that a safety problem should be discovered in your product model. Model and serial numbers are indicated on back side and right side of the LCD Monitor and underneath the A/V Center.

Antenna Connection Unless your A/V Center is connected to a cable TV system or to a centralized antenna system, a good outdoor color TV antenna is recommended for best performance. However, if you are located in an exceptionally good signal area that is free from interference and multiple image ghosts, an indoor antenna may be sufficient.

    Remote Control In addition to controlling all of the functions on your Hitachi UT LCD Monitor and A/V Center, the new remote control is designed to operate different types of devices, such as, DVD players, Cable Boxes, Set-Top-Boxes, Satellite Receivers, VCR's, PVR's and AVR's.

    BASIC OPERATION Power On/Off Turn On the power of the unit. To turn On the power to the unit: 1. Press the Main Power switch on the unit. The Indicating Lamp illuminates in Green on Monitor/Blue on A/V Center, and the Illumination Lamp turns Blue.

    BASIC OPERATION (continued) Volume Up/Down 1. To increase the sound volume, press the Volume Up button on the remote control or control panel. The Volume Indicator value on the screen will shift to the right. 2. To decrease the sound volume, press the Volume Down button on the remote control or control panel.

    BASIC OPERATION (continued) Input Switching Press the button to access the INPUTS menu. Use the CURSOR and OK buttons to scroll and select the inputs that are being used. Pressing the INPUT button repeatedly will also cycle through the Inputs menu items.
