Repeat step 1 to remove the slide mounting screws at the back of the rack.

Lift the slide assembly out of the rack and place it out of the way.

Repeat this step to remove the slide assembly on the opposite side of the rack.

To remove the cage nuts (used to secure the rack-adapter thumbscrews) from

each vertical rail, use a flat-blade screwdriver or the cage-nut installation tool

(if available), pry down on the outside top edge of the cage nut while pushing

inward on the cage nut to remove it from the vertical rail (see step 3 in

Figure 1-10).

Repeat this step to remove the remaining cage nuts.

5.

Package all the rack installation hardware you removed and label it for future use.
