Troubleshooting Chart

Problem
1.
No water production.
(Error code E02 may be
displayed)
2. Low water production.
3. High TDS.
4. Water flows to the drain
when tank is full.
System is off with tank full and
there is pressure on the system
pressure gauge.
5. System does not stop when
tank is full.
6. System starts but pump does
not start.
7. Excessive drain water flow.
8. Low system pressure.
9. Membrane or filter change
indicated.
(Error code E05 or Error Code E06)
S-Series Technical Manual
E05 - Filter change indicated
Possible Cause
A. Low feed pressure at inlet.
High pressure drop.
Clogged prefilters.
B.
If feed water pressure at the inlet
is higher than 80 psi, the pressure
transducer may be damaged.
C. Pump thermal overload has
been actuated.
A. Clogged prefilter.
B.
Fouled membrane.
C. Pump failure.
D. EverClean Rinse solenoid valve
fails in the open position.
Membrane failure due to age or
chlorine damage.
A. Inlet solenoid valve is not closing.
B. EverClean Rinse solenoid valve
fails in the open position.
A. Damaged product water
transducer.
B. Damaged controller.
C. Damaged pressure switch
(atmospheric tanks only).
System is in PUMP OFF mode.
A. Flow restrictor failure.
B. Damaged membranes.
C. EverClean Rinse solenoid valve
fails in the open position.
Pump failing.
Display will indicate when mem-
brane or filter change is overdue.

E06 - Membrane change indicated
A. Check prefiltration. Make changes to
reduce pressure drop. Replace filters,
if needed.
B. Replace low pressure transducer.
C. Wait 30 minutes. Reset overload
relay in the power box. If the relay
breaks the power to the pump again,
repair the pump/motor.
A. Replace prefilters.
B. Analyze pretreatment. Replace the
membrane.
C. Replace pump.
D. Replace the EverClean Rinse
solenoid valve.
Check chlorine levels. Adjust pretreatment.
A. Clean or replace solenoid valve.
B. Replace the EverClean Rinse
solenoid valve.
A. Replace transducer.
B. Replace the NBX controller board.
C. Replace pressure switch.
Press OFF button to turn the system off.
Press the ON button until the button
lights up, release the button. System
should return to normal operation.
A. Replace flow restrictor.
B. Analyze pretreatment. Replace the
membrane.
C. Replace the EverClean Rinse
solenoid valve.
Repair or replace the pump.
