Checking sensors

The sensors are checked for accuracy by way of reverse
measurement.
Attach the clamps to the wheels. Insert the
boards in the sockets of the clamps and
align using the spirit levels. Use the locking
screw of the clamp to secure the boards in
position.

Do not alter the position of the clamps and the
boards on the vehicle during the entire reverse mea-
surement. Changes to the board, wheel or clamps
would render the measurement invalid.

Perform run-out compensation by way of 60° rota-
tion in direction of travel.

Use must be made of the steering wheel arrester
during the reverse measurement (refer to 4.15).

For measurement 1, push from the front end of the
vehicle.
1. Perform the measurement operation as described in
4.9 - 4.12.
2. Select in the program.
? Select General view and print out the measure-
ment protocol.
3. End the program and shut down the PC.
4. Disconnect the wheel alignment unit from the mains.

Measurement 2 - Toe and camber check in op-
posite direction
1. Disconnect the sensors and interchange the left and
right sensor.
2. Connect the wheel alignment unit to the mains.
3. Start up the PC again.
? Wait for the software to start up.
4. Perform the measurement operation as described in
4.9 - 4.12. However, perform run-out compensation
by way of 60° rotation in direction opposite to that
of travel.

For measurement 2, perform run-out compensation
by way of 60° rotation in direction opposite to that
of travel.
5. Select in the program.
? Select General view and print out the measure-
ment protocol.

Enter the measured values in the table

1. Enter the measured values for "Measurement 1" in
accordance with the table.
2. Enter the measured values for "Measurement 2" in
accordance with the table.
