7.9 Dismantling the ignition system

The following components must be dismantled for
the ignition system to be accessible.
The starter cover with half of the cover over the
muffler.
The spark plug.
The clutch cover and shaft.
The clutch.

Remove the screws and lift off the ignition module.
See figure 30.

Fit the piston stop no. 521 54 83-01 in the spark
plug hole.
Remove the nut holding the flywheel. See figure
31.
NOTE!
Position the piston stop so it is clamped
between the piston crown and the
combustion chamber. Make sure that it
does not stick out into the exhaust port.

Dismantle the flywheel from the crankcase using
the puller no. 502 51 49-02. See figure 32.
Gently knock the puller screw with a hammer, if the
flywheel sits tightly on the crankshaft.
