    NEC Express5800 Series Express5800/E120d-1 Maintenance This chapter explains maintenance of server, and what actions are to be taken in case of trouble when operating this server. 1. Transfer, Movement, and Disposal Describes how to transfer this server to a third party. Also describes how to dispose, move and store this server.

    Important NEC assumes no liability for data leakage should the product be transferred to a third party without erasing the data. Data seems to be erased when you empty "Recycle Bin" or execute the "format" command of the operating system.

Resetting and Clearing the Server Clearing BIOS Settings (CMOS Memory) To set the BIOS settings back to the factory default settings (clearing CMOS memory), use the internal jumper switch. You can also clear the password set in the BIOS Setup utility (SETUP) by using the same way. Tips Use this function to return the BIOS settings to the factory defaults if the server does not work.
