For instance, how many control loops are needed, is cascade or ratio control required, will the unit control a valve motor, do you need setpoint profiling etc. Consideration should also be given to the output types, alarms and tuning method.

Each time is pressed, the instrument moves to the next menu level above. Sub-menu levels will require this sequence to be pressed more than once in order to reach the Main Menu.
