Intended use Your Black & Decker cordless drill/screwdriver has been designed for drilling in wood, metal and plastics as well as for screwdriving purposes. The VPX1222 cordless drill/ screwdriver has also been designed for drilling in soft masonry.This tool is intended for consumer use only. - Page 5 d. To select the low speed, high torque setting (position 1), turn the tool off and allow it to stop. Move the speed selector switch (3) towards the back. To select the high speed, low torque setting (position 2), turn the tool off and allow it to stop. Move the speed selector switch (3) towards the front. -
