Every licensed operating system is identified by its name. To aid in
identification, the revision and CRC signature are provided. The
applicable versions of the operating system and the related signatures
(CRCs), approved by TÜV for safety-related automation systems, are
subject to revision controls and are documented on a list compiled in
conjunction with TÜV.
Use RSLogix Guard PLUS to read the current operating system version.
Verification is required. See the checklist on page 5-8.
The operating systems process the application program in cycles. The
following functions, described in simplified form, are executed:
• read input data
• process logic functions programmed according to
IEC 61131-3
• write output data
