The AlphaCom XE System The AlphaCom XE Audio Server with HD Voice system provides easy AlphaWeb to use, secure and powerful system management capabilities targeted 3rd party application AlphaPro towards meeting the needs and demands of the end-user. The management system has an open and flexible architecture that caters to multiple tools and technologies.
1.1.3 Internal firewall AlphaCom XE has an internal firewall allowing the network administrator to open and close IP services that are allowed access to AlphaCom XE from the different networks. AlphaCom XE comes with the most restrictive firewall settings by default.

In the 15-pin D-SUB for the RIO Controller Unit, the pins 2 & 4 and 9 & 11 must be connected together. The signal to and from AlphaCom XE is taken from the RJ45 serial port 1, i.e. pins 1 and 2 if RS485 is used or pins 3 and 6 if RS232 is used.
