    CAUTION: To disconnect a network cable, first unplug the cable from your computer and then unplug the cable from the network device. Disconnect all network cables from the computer. Disconnect your computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Press and hold the power button while the computer is unplugged to ground the system board.

    Connect any telephone or network cables to your computer. Connect your computer and all attached devices to their electrical outlets. Turn on your computer. If required, verify that the computer works correctly by running Dell Diagnostics.

    Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer. Removing the Front Bezel Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. Remove the cover. Perform the following steps a. Lift the retention clips and release the front bezel [1]. b.

    Flex the hard-drive bracket and remove the hard drive from the hard-drive bracket [1,2]. Installing the Hard Drive Insert the hard drive into the hard-drive bracket. Press the securing brackets inward and slide the hard-drive bracket into the bay. Connect the data cable and the power cable to the back of the hard-drive. Install the cover.

Place the optical drive into the computer. Connect the data cable and power cable to the back of the optical drive. Push the optical drive till it is secured by the optical-drive latch.
