  • Page 10 Display – Shows the call state, caller ID, dialed digits, network call control messages, and elapsed time during calls. When not on a call, the date and time of day are displayed. Multifunction Buttons – These buttons are assigned to call appearances or network features or one-touch numbers.

    Receiving Headset Calls (Headset mode selected in option) 1. Press SPKR, and if necessary, press the green-flashing Call Appearance button. 2. Converse with the calling party. 3. When your conversation ends, hang up by pressing SPKR. Note: These procedures assume that the phone is set to ringing line preference or primary line preference.

    Address Book (Personal Directory) The Fujitsu SRS 12i / 24i IP Centrex Telephone has an Address Book feature that allows for storage of up to 50 names and associated telephone numbers in the set. Names may be up to 16 characters long, and telephone numbers may be up to 30 characters long.

    CHAPTER 3 – USER OPERATION SETTINGS The Fujitsu SRS 12i / 24i IP Centrex Telephone has a menu from which selections can be made to change local features. There are a total of 29 menu selections: Option 1. ONE-TOUCH – Registering or clearing One-Touch keys Option 2.

    Programming One-Touch (Option 1) Multifunction buttons can be set up to automatically dial numbers. (up to 30 digits each). The numbers that can be programmed are any of the following: 1. Standard telephone numbers, including the outside line access code (usually 9) if required.
  • Page 23 To program a number that includes pauses and special codes, use the keypad to enter the digits and the HOLD button to enter pauses, which appear on the display as commas. The example shows a standard telephone number followed by a voice mail access code and a voice mail password.
  • Page 24 Use this feature for any call requiring multiple number entries. For example, use the feature to: • Connect to an alternative public network using the access number and then send the number of the person desired. • Send the sequence of numbers needed to connect to a private network number.

The new number appears on the display as entered, and replaces the old number. • To cancel the number, press CLEAR and then ENTER. The button is canceled as a One-Touch button, and the green indicator goes dark.

    Initializing the Phone (Option 3) This feature removes all your One-Touch numbers, Address Book, Call Log and network-determined key assignments. This is useful when the phone is assigned to a new user. Warning: If the phone is initialized accidentally, refer to the Administrator’ s Guide, Key Attributes Configuration section or ask your System Administrator for assistance.

    Handsfree, Handset, and Headset Modes (Option 6) The Fujitsu SRS 12i / 24i IP Centrex Telephone can be set up to use the handset, the speaker, or a headset by selecting from the following modes: Handsfree This feature enables user to talk on the phone in handsfree mode. Make sure the speaker function is set ON for support.

    Call Announce Intercom (Option 10) The Call Announce Intercom feature allows a Fujitsu SRS 12i / 24i IP Centrex Telephone to be set to automatically answer incoming calls. The screener places the incoming call on hold, uses a designated Directory Number to announce the call, and may then transfer the call.

    Call Appearance Preference (Option 11) The Call Appearance Preference options determine which Call Appearance button is selected when going off hook (lift the receiver or press SPKR). Four choices are available: • Ringing line preference. Default setting. Selects the Call Appearance button that is ringing with an incoming call.

    Mic-Off (Option 12) The MIC-OFF button can be used in two modes, the first mode assigns this button to activate/deactivate the telephones microphone. The second model assigns this button for one-touch dialing thus providing an additional one- touch button. The microphone activate/deactivate capability cannot be used when the button is assigned for one-touch operation.
