    Various settings according to your needs When you use ScanSnap with the default settings, there is no need to configure the settings by SCAN yourself. All you need to do is simply pressing the [SCAN] button to scan the documents, save images with the optimized settings and display the scanned images on the screen without any complicated operation.

    ■ Saving scanned images with a high compression rate In addition to the ordinary compression function, ScanSnap features the "High Compression" func- tion for reducing the size of scanned images. This function is designed for ordinary text documents used in offices. For example, piles of paper documents can be compacted into PDF files by scanning them with this function.
