The DCS-1000W ensures compatibility
with your computer and operating system
by utilizing a web management interface,
accessible using any Java-enabled web
browser.
The DCS-1000W eliminates the need to
connect the camera directly to your
computer by using an integrated web
server. Once installed, you use the built-in
IP address to gain access to the camera,
view live streaming video, and make
necessary changes to camera settings.
The DCS-1000W enhances your connec-
tion options by providing an RJ-45 jack
for Ethernet/Fast Ethernet and 802.11b
Wireless Ethernet connections. Used in
conjunction with an 802.11b Access Point
or ad-hoc connection, the DCS-1000W
eliminates the need to run wire between
the camera and a switch.
The DCS-1000W includes IPView, a
Microsoft Windows compatible monitor-
ing application. IPView allows you to
control all of the DCS-1000 or
DCS-1000W cameras on your LAN from
one location. IPView also lets you view as
many as 16 cameras on one screen and
also supports manual and scheduled
recording to an AVI movie file on your
hard drive.
The DCS-1000W uses Motion-JPEG to
stream live video at up to 30fps using
Motion-JPEG technology. The camera
supports resolutions up to 640x480 and
five levels of JPEG compression to
customize image size and quality to ensure
a steady stream to any viewer.
