Basic Operations Open the imprinter cover. 2.1 Installing the Print Cartridge Mount the print cartridge as follows: Imprinter cover When installing or replacing the print cartridge, be ATTENTION careful not to insert it out of place. Confirm that the scanner is turned off. Hold the blue part located on the center of the hopper.

    Remove protection tape from the print cartridge. 2.2 Operating Test After installing the imprinter, test to see if printing can be performed on the Offline Print Test mode. While pressing the [Hopper Height] button ( ) on the operator panel, switch on the scanner. Continue pressing on the [Hopper Height] button.

Daily Care 3.1 Cleaning the Print Cartridge 3.2 Cleaning the Imprinter Poor quality prints can occur due to blocked ink emission As the fi-590PRF prints the number on a document before holes in the nozzle. Leaving the imprinter unused for long reading operation, ink can spatter over the glass and paper periods can also cause emission holes to become blocked.
  • Page 14 The cover is slowly opened. Reinstall the print cartridge. Hold the ADF cover with both hands and press it down slowly. Wipe the following parts using a cloth moistened with Cleaner F1 or isopropyl alcohol. Press the ADF cover until it is fixed. For details on cleaning the scanner, refer to HINT “fi-5900C Operator’s Guide”.
