  • Page 7 Pre-operation check Before starting the generator, check the oil and fuel levels. Test the GFCI outlets as directed BATTERY GUARD on page 1 of this manual. Be sure that the air cleaner is functioning. Check that battery terminals are tight and un-corroded. Follow the guidelines below when adding oil and fuel. ENGINE OIL NOTE: There is no oil in the engine crankcase when the generator is shipped.

If the main breaker turns to the off position when no electrical loads are connected, see a service technician.
