User's Guide
I N S T R U C T I O N S
The port replicator extends the functionality
of your LifeBook® T Series Tablet PC by
providing ports to connect an external VGA
monitor, a LAN (RJ-45) cable, four USB 2.0
devices, a DVI device, speaker/headphones,
and DC power.
The port replicator connects to the bottom/
rear of your LifeBook Tablet PC.

BACK PANEL COMPONENTS

The following is a brief description of the
port replicator's back panel components.
(Figure 1)
USB 2.0 Ports
The four USB 2.0 ports allow you to connect
USB devices such as game pads, pointing
devices, and keyboards. USB 2.0 is down-
ward-compatible with USB 1.1 devices, so
older USB devices will work with these
ports. USB 2.0 runs 40X faster than USB 1.1.

    External DVI Port The external Digital Video Interface (DVI) port allows you to connect an external digital flat-panel monitor or projector, providing a pure digital video signal for digital monitors. External Monitor Port The external monitor port allows you to connect an external monitor.

    FRONT PANEL COMPONENTS Following is a description of the port repli- (Figure 2) cator’s front panel components. Docking Port The docking port connects the port replicator to your Tablet PC. Port Replicator Release Latch Pull the Port Replicator Release Latch away from the port replicator to remove the port replicator from your Tablet PC.

    Power On/Off Button The Power On/Off button on the port repli- cator performs the same functions as the system Suspend/Resume button. The Power On/Off button allows you to suspend Tablet PC activity without powering off, resume your Tablet PC from standby mode, and power on your system when it has been shut down from the Windows operating system.

  • Page 7 CHANGING THE BASE WIDTH The port replicator is designed for Tablet PC models with 12.1” and 13.3” displays. To determine if the port replicator is designed for your system, go to www.shopfujitsu.com -> Accessories, and check the port replicator compatibility list. When viewing the port replicator from the top an adjustable bracket is located on the left of the device (see Figure 2 for location).
