    Touchscreen • Use the soft cloth when it is dry. Do not apply water or solvents to the soft cloth. • First, lightly wipe foreign particles and dust adhering to the LCD display on one side of the soft cloth. Do not use force, since the LCD surface may be damaged with the foreign particles or dust.

    Touchscreen Calibration by a standard user NOTE Perform the following calibration for each user. Run [Tablet PC Settings]. Click (Start) - [Control Panel] - [Hardware and Sound] - [Tablet PC Settings]. Click [Calibrate]. Select [Touch input] or [Pen input]. Using the stylus, touch each of the “+” target marks one by one, and then click [Yes]. Perform the calibration for the orientation to be used.

    Battery Power High temperature mode The high temperature mode can prevent the battery from deteriorating when the computer is used in high-temperature envi- ronment or used for a long time with its battery fully charged. Select [Auto] (default) or [High Temperature] in [Environment] of the [Main] menu of the Setup Utility ( page 89).

    Battery Power Replacing the Battery Pack If you have a battery charger (optional) or Cradle (optional), you can remove one battery pack to charge while the other bat- tery pack is operating. The battery pack is a consumable item so the replacement will be necessary. If the battery operation time becomes noticeably short and not recovered even after recalibrating the battery, replace with a new battery.

    Customizing the Power Setting You can choose the optimum power setting for your operating condition by selecting a power plan. You can also create your own power plan.     SD Memory Card SD Memory Card Information This computer supports SDHC Memory Cards (SD Memory Cards with a capacity more than 2 GB). When you use a miniSD Card or a microSD Card, set the card to a miniSD Card adaptor or a microSD Card adaptor, and insert/remove the card with the adaptor.

Click on the notification area and click Select the card. These steps are not necessary when removing the card after turning off the computer.

The default name for saving photos is the date and time the picture was taken.

Therefore the passwords and token devices are exposed to the risk of being lost, stolen and hacking. The Fingerprint authentication method uses user’s fingerprints instead of passwords for security authentication. You can use your fingerprints to start up your computer and log on Windows.

    Disabling/Enabling Wireless Communication To check the wireless communication status Click on the notification area and place the cursor over the Wireless Switch Utility icon ( A tool tip appears. NOTE If you uninstall the Wireless Switch Utility, set the wireless switch to ON. Do not turn on/off the switch repeatedly at too short intervals.
