REAR BRAKE DISC

DISC RUNOUT

1. Mount a dial indicator and measure disc runout.
Slowly rotate the disc and read total runout on the
dial indicator. Replace the disc if runout exceeds
specification.

BRAKE DISC INSPECTION

1. Check the surface condition of the brake discs.
2. Measure the thickness of the front and rear brake
discs.
3. The disc(s) should be replaced if thickness is less
than the specified service limit

WARNING
Do not apply WD-40 or any petroleum product to brake
discs. These types of products are flammable and may
also reduce the friction between the brake pad and
caliper.
