    CA-MXS6MDR SP-MXS6MD Preventing static electricity Electrostatic discharge (ESD), which occurs when static electricity stored in the body, fabric, etc. is discharged, can destroy the laser diode in the traverse unit (optical pickup). Take care to prevent this when performing repairs.

    Removing the top cover (See Fig. 1 and 2) Remove the four screws A on the back of the body. Remove the two screws B on both sides of the body. Lift up the rear part of the top cover while pulling both sides, then remove the top cover.
