    Diskette-Drive Access Indicator This indicator blinks when data is being transferred to or from the diskette drive in the options bay. PC Card Indicator This indicator blinks when the computer is accessing data from an installed PC Card or Cards.     These procedures can often reveal the source of a problem or indicate the correct starting point for troubleshooting the computer. Dell recom- mends that you perform these initial procedures in the order they are presented.

    CAUTION: To prevent damage to the original diagnostics diskette, always use a backup copy of the diagnostics diskette when servicing a user’s computer. Dell recommends that users make several copies of this diskette to ensure that one is always available.
