Setup is required the first time the imagePRESS Server is turned on or after system software is installed. You also use Configure to specify information about the network environment and printing preferences for jobs that users send to the imagePRESS Server.

If you do not specify custom settings, default settings are used. Make sure that settings are appropriate for your printing environment.

Jobs Specify settings that determine how the imagePRESS Server processes and prints jobs. Enable Printed Queue Enables the Printed queue, a storage location on the imagePRESS Server hard disk drive for recent jobs that were printed from the Print queue.

The new password is in effect after you save changes and restart the imagePRESS Server. This IP address, unlike an IP address set automatically, remains the same if you restart the imagePRESS Server. You must change the default to a valid address for your network. Note: This option is available when Get IP Address Automatically is not selected.

Setting up the WINS server is outside the scope of this manual. To find out if a name server is available, contact your network administrator. AppleTalk Enable AppleTalk Select whether you have an AppleTalk network connected to the imagePRESS Server. This setting enables the imagePRESS Server to communicate over AppleTalk networks.

After you define a password for a user and assign the user to at least one group, selecting this option requires the imagePRESS Server to verify that the user belongs to a group with printing privileges and that the user name and password are valid.
