4. Installing the Built-In FDD in the Server This section describes how to install the N8151-79 Built-In FDD in your system. 4.1 NEC Express5800/110Gd Before you start Perform the following steps according to your User's Guide. – Power off the server. - Page 13 Place the file bay carefully on a stable and flat surface. Push the release tabs on both sides, and remove the bracket cover. Bracket cover Insert the floppy disk drive. Secure the floppy disk drive with the screws supplied, as illustrated below. - Page 14 Press the hooks on the rear side of the bracket toward the inside, and remove the bracket from the bracket cover. Install the bracket cover. Bracket cover Insert the file bay to the server until it clicks into the locked position.
- Page 15 The interface cable supplied with the floppy disk drive has one protruding end to prevent wrong cabling. Connect the protruding end of the cable to the floppy disk drive connector on the motherboard. Connect the FDD interface cable with its red line (indicating Pin 1) facing the motherboard to the floppy disk drive.
