Un-loop it’s tether from the retaining slot in the bottom cover to remove and/or replace it. Installation is reverse order of removal. The CN70A & CN70E use the same part. Do not use the original gray colored stylus.

On a CN70A push the webbing through the slot in the battery latch until the retaining pin is exposed. A small straight tipped screwdriver may be useful here since the pin fits tight in the battery latch. Remove the retaining pin and slide the webbing out of the slot in the battery latch.

Original production used a conductive trace and puck keyboard/keypad combination (shown at left in picture below). The main WAN antenna is located on top of the scan bracket assembly. The GPS/Diversity antenna is located in the top housing assembly. Coax cables, pogo pins, and circuitry on the main logic board route the antenna connections to the WAN/GPS radio card.
