Un-loop it’s tether from the retaining slot in the bottom cover to remove and/or replace it. Installation is reverse order of removal. The CN70A & CN70E use the same part. Do not use the original gray colored stylus. -

A small straight tipped screwdriver may be useful here since the pin fits tight in the battery latch. Remove the retaining pin and slide the webbing out of the slot in the battery latch.

These will also need to be installed anytime a bottom housing assembly is replaced. There are two identical windows covered by a single trim overlay. Original production used a conductive trace and puck keyboard/keypad combination (shown at left in picture below). Assembly in a clean environment using some form of finger protection is required. 1.

Apply light pressure to hold the magnesium frame snug against the display assembly and, using a #1 Phillips screwdriver, install 2 screws to secure the touch panel to the magnesium frame with 1.5+/-0.2 in-lbs of torque.

The main WAN antenna is located on top of the scan bracket assembly. The GPS/Diversity antenna is located in the top housing assembly.
