    Chapter 1 Getting Started This chapter provides you with information how to connect and setup the Unit. Setting up the System Your system has already been installed by an installer. If you want to change the configuration, the TV or the audio equipment, check the location of the VIDEO out jack, the LINE IN jack, and the IR IN/OUT jack.

    Selecting a method for using the remote Connections between the Unit and each device are made via cables or cords coming through the wall. You can operate a component using the remote if the IR IN/OUT terminal of the Unit and the component are connected.

    Playing an MP3 audio track You can play MP3 audio tracks on CD-ROMs, CD-Rs, or CD-RWs. However, the discs must be recorded according to ISO9660 level 1, or Joliet format for the Unit to recognize the tracks. Insert a data disc recorded in MP3 format into the Unit. A folder list is displayed on the TV screen.

The “PARENTAL CONTROL” function allows you to set a playback limitation level. Playback of some DVD VIDEOs can be limited according to a predetermined level, such as the age of the users.

    TV Display Selects the aspect ratio of the connected TV screen (4:3 standard or wide). Depending on the disc, “Normal/LB” may be selected automatically instead of “Normal/PS” or vice versa. The default setting is underlined. Normal/PS (4:3 PAN SCAN) Select this when you connect a 4:3 screen TV.
