    Charging head for plugging USB cable into wall outlet is not included. Use only Samsung charging devices rated with an output voltage of 5v and an output current of over 500mA (sold separately). Samsung accessories are designed for your device to maximize battery life.
  • Page 9 Device Layout Push the Cover open button to open the charging case. Check the direction of each earbud and insert them into the left and right slots of the charging case. Close the charging case. Connect the USB cable to the USB power adapter (sold separately), and then plug the end of the USB cable into the multi-purpose jack of the charging case.
  • Page 10 • If the earbuds and charging case are not charging properly, take them with the charger to a Samsung Service Center. • Avoid bending the charger. Doing so may damage or reduce the lifespan of the charger.

Tap Samsung Gear > Info, to view the battery status of each earbud. Refer to Transfer music files from your mobile device for more information.

    Device Layout Indicator light identification The indicator lights inform you of your earbuds’ charging status. Two indicator lights are located on the left and right sides of the charging case’s open button and show the charging status of each earbud, respectively. The indicator light next to the charging case’s multipurpose jack indicates the charging status of the case itself.

    Device Layout Wear the earbuds Attach an earbud tip to the earbud Select the earbud tip that fits your ear. Cover the latch at the bottom of the earbud with the earbud tip. Do not touch the Heart Rate Sensor with your finger when handling or while in use for measuring heart rate, as this may affect accuracy of the device reading.
  • Page 15 Device Layout Attach a wing tip to the earbud Select the wing tip that fits your ear. Select the wing tip for the left or right ear. Cover the earbud with the wingtip. Do not put the wingtips on the earbuds in the wrong direction. The earbuds will not fit in your ears properly.
  • Page 16 Device Layout Wear the earbuds correctly Before wearing the earbuds, make sure to attach the earbud tips and wingtips to the earbuds. Check the direction of each earbud and insert them into your ears with the wingtip facing upwards until they sit comfortably in your ears. Do not touch the heart rate sensor while you are putting an earbud in your ear.

    To manually reconnect the earbuds to your mobile device: Open the Apps screen of the mobile device and tap Samsung Gear > More > Connect. Connect with new earbuds You can disconnect the earbuds from your mobile device and connect new ones.

    Set the main earbud to use the call feature and to record exercise information. The right earbud is preset as the main earbud. On the Apps screen of the mobile device, tap Samsung Gear. Tap Settings > Select main earbud, or tap Info > Earbuds. Then, tap and hold on an earbud to select it as the main earbud.

    Use the Earbuds Use the touchpad • To avoid hurting your ears, do not apply excessive pressure to the touchpad with your fingertips. • To avoid damaging the touchpad, do not tap it with anything sharp. The direction in which you wear the earbuds will affect the direction of your drag on the touchpad.

During a call, double-tap the touchpad to answer a second call or to switch between the current call and the held call.     Use the Earbuds • Do not talk, yawn, or breathe deeply while taking heart rate measurements. Doing so may cause your heart rate to be recorded inaccurately. • Because the heart rate sensor uses light to approximate heart rate, its accuracy may vary due to physical factors that affect light absorption and reflection, such as blood circulation/blood pressure, skin condition and location and concentration of blood vessels.

    Samsung Gear Install Samsung Gear To connect the earbuds to a mobile device, you must install the Samsung Gear app on your mobile device. Using the Samsung Gear app, you can customize your earbud settings. Tap Samsung Gear on the Apps screen of the mobile device.
