Page 30 • Cursor keys: Your keyboard contains four arrow keys for moving the cursor or insertion point to the right, left, up, or down within windows, applications and documents. • Function keys: The keys labeled [F1] through [F12], are used in conjunction with the [Fn] key to produce special actions that vary depending on what program is running.

Double-Clicking Double-clicking means pushing and releasing the left button twice in rapid succession. This procedure does not function with the right button. To double-click, move the cursor to the item you wish to select, press the left button twice, and immediately release it. You can also perform the double-click operation by tapping lightly on the Touchpad twice.

Scrolling Using the Scrolling button allows you to navigate through a document quickly without using the window’s scroll bars. This is particularly useful when you are navigating through on-line pages. To use the Scrolling button, press the crescent shape at the top or bottom of the button to scroll up or down a page.
Page 36 Continuous Scroll: To scroll through a large document using gestures, hold your finger on the right side touchpad for a couple of seconds until a circular icon appears, then move your finger in a clockwise circular motion to scroll down, or counter-clockwise to scroll up.

Some of these features are automatic and need no user intervention; however, others depend on the parameters you set to best suit your operating conditions, such as those for the display brightness. Internal power management for your notebook may be controlled from settings made in your operating system, pre-bundled power management application, or from settings made in BIOS setup utility.

The fingerprint sensor uses Softex OmniPass which provides password management capabilities to Microsoft Windows operating systems. OmniPass enables you to use a "master password" for all Windows, applications, and on- line passwords.

Whether you are logging into your computer, accessing your email, e-banking, paying bills online, or accessing network resources, you often have to supply credentials to gain access.

OmniPass can detect these prompts and you can teach OmniPass your login credentials.

To set the default identity, highlight the identity you want as default and click [Set as Default]; click [Apply] to ensure the settings are saved. If you log in to OmniPass with a fingerprint device, you will automatically be logged in to the default identity for that OmniPass user.

The export process backs up all remembered sites, credentials, and enrolled fingerprints for an OmniPass user. All OmniPass data for a user is backed up to a single encrypted database file. Things to Know Regarding Import/Export • Assume you export a local Windows User profile from OmniPass. You want to import that profile to another machine that has OmniPass. Before you can import the profile, a Windows user with the same login credentials must be created on the machine importing the profile.

With the second option, Manually log on to OmniPass at startup, OmniPass will prompt you to login once you have logged on to Windows. You can manually log on to OmniPass by right-clicking the OmniPass taskbar icon and clicking Log in User from the right-click menu.

Utilisation du bouton de défilement Il y a à droite du pavé tactile une fossette arrondie d’environ 2,5 cm (1 pi) de diamètre. Il s’agit d’un bouton de défilement qui sert à faire défiler les pages d’un document vers le haut ou le bas, ainsi qu’à agrandir ou rétrécir des photos. Remarque : en fait, le bouton de défilement ne bouge pas, c’est l’action de votre doigt sur cette zone qui produit le défilement.
