    Close the display and turn the computer upside-down on a flat work surface. NOTE: To avoid damaging the system board, you must remove the main battery before you service the computer. Remove the main battery. Turn the computer top-side up. Open the display.

    Installing the Hard Drive Slide the hard-drive in its slot in the computer. Tighten the screw that secures the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive. Connect the hard drive cable to the hard-drive cage. Place the hard-drive bracket and tighten the screw to secure the hard drive cage to the computer.
