    Attaching and removing the HDD to the DX-NT400E Make sure that the POWER button on the front panel and the MAIN switch on the rear panel are both turned OFF when attaching or removing the HDD tray. Do not remove the top cover of the unit.

    HDD SELF TEST HDD SELF TEST Before using the HDD attached to this unit, test the HDD whether to be used correctly. There are 3 types of the test method and choose one in the screen. When choosing, refer to the table below which describes the details of each method.

    This menu is used to set the conditions of the motion detection function for alarm recording which is started when detecting motion within the video of the connected camera. SELECTION CAMERA NUMBER This item is used to set the camera number for which motion detection function is executed.

    SENSITIVITY This item is used to set the sensitivity of detecting the changes of the loaded video data. Video data is sampled every 0.5 second and compared with each video data of 0.5 second before for each camera. The sensitivity setting is divided into the 5 levels of difference in brightness.

    (continued) MD LOCK OUT TIME This item is used to restrict motion detection function in order to control the recording to prevent the continuous recording of the same image. Once the unit detects motion and starts alarm recording, the unit ignores the input of mortion detection for the time period set in the MD LOCK OUT TIME.
